About Us

Established in 1979 by Chairman Robert Heath, Robert Heath Heating has grown to become one of the leading independent specialist heating contractors in the UK. Robert Heath Heating specialises in providing domestic and commercial heating installation, service and maintenance services to the social housing sector, and is currently engaged in long term contracts with Housing Associations and Local Authorities, covering over 100,000 properties from Penzance to Newcastle upon Tyne, which runs alongside our on going services we have provided to homeowners for 30 years.

Added to our domestic services, we have been serving the commercial and industrial sector, providing quality services to schools, hotels and sheltered accommodation and many more, where our specialist division which is supported by our specialist engineers continues to grow in geographical and operational scale much like our domestic services has continually shown.

All Robert Heath Heating operations are co-ordinated from our Head Office in Surrey, which is supported by our three regional offices, in Exeter, Leeds and the Isle of Wight to ensure our operations run as smoothly as possible.

The Robert Heath Contact Centre

When our operations reached out to more and more customers, which led onto increasing numbers of enquiries from our numerous customers, it soon became a necessity to try and deal with our customers as efficiently as possible. This is when we established our on site call centre within the Head Office in Surrey, which continues to grow in line with our ever  operations branching out.

All our call centre staff are fully trained in gas safety issues, and it has become a fact that over 50% of our respsonsive call outs are not related to a boiler but to the controls. So with the training we have provided for the call centre, we avoid a large number of unnecessary visits as we ask the right questions, such as, “Have you put money on the Quantum Meter?”, “Have you lowered the thermostat?”. These questions have to be asked sensitively and correctly which is when our training pays dividends.

Information Systems – Our Cornerstone

We always strive to be ahead of our competitors in the use of Information Systems to administer our gas servicing and maintenance contracts. We have pioneered the use of Information Systems to enable smooth running of our operations. We were the first to produce online generated Landlord Gas Safety Certificates, defining new standards and bringing about change in a resistive Industry.

 

Our Information Systems applications are bespoke for our Company and we partner with world class hardware vendors to achieve exceptionally reliable systems. Through our dynamic technology team, we acquire nothing ‘off the shelf’; constantly seek improved and new ways of development. Every aspect of the system is designed with our gas servicing, maintenance and installation contracts in mind. Robert Heath Heating have been perfecting this system many years before others. Many competitors have access to only generic software packages, which are not specific to gas servicing or even field management. All our information is available real-time to Robert Heath and contract partners (Partner Access) for not only complete control over safety and servicing (with Audit Trail) but also full asset management information.

Robert Heath Heating has embraced Social Media as a means of communicating with clients, residents and the industry, by establishing Facebook and Twitter accounts. Through our community efforts we aim to bring about change by donating our computers and other technological equipment to schools or charities.

In 2011 the company has gained MCS accreditation and is already working with existing clients, as well as developing new business opportunities in Solar Thermal, PV and Heat Pump technology.
