Leaky Radiator or Boiler?

Leaking Boiler

Leaking boilers are a fairly common problem, but they should always be fixed quickly and before the problem gets worse.

Not only is a leak an indication of a more serious fault, failure to fix the problem can result in corrosion to the boiler’s internal parts as well as minor flooding.

Causes can range from a crack in one of the boiler’s cast iron (or aluminium) sections to a broken seal on the boiler’s circulation pump.

As a first step, the source of the leak needs to be isolated. However, you should never attempt to do any complex servicing or repair work on the system yourself. So we recommend you contact us either on 0208 336 6767, or via our enquiry form.

Leaking Radiator

When you have one or more leaking radiators, there are some actions you can take before the problem escalates.

A pinhole leak on a radiator can be a sign of internal corrosion. This can occur when debris that collects during installation hasn’t been properly removed (and can occur within weeks of the system being fitted) or because of air being drawn in to the system.

Book a Robert Heath Engineer to fix it for you by calling us on 0208 336 6767 or contacting us via our enquiry form.
