Landlords'
gas safety checks
Most landlords know that it is now a legal requirement for
them to carry out gas safety checks on rented properties.
This must be carried out by a CORGI qualified engineer who
checks every gas appliance and then certifies the condition
of the apliances. The tenant also
signs
the certificate (CP12) and this is proof that the landlord
fulfilled his duties and that the tenant is aware of this.
For
landlords who have a number of properties we also offer electronic
CP12s - see below.

Void safety checks
When a tenanted property becomes vacant it is both an opportunity
for the landlord to carry out neccessary repairs and a liability for
the safety of the now empty premises. We carry out void safety checks
which give the landlord peace of mind that the premises have not been
left in a dangerous state by the departing tenants. It also identifies
any repairs which may be required and our engineers can either secure
the premises with the gas completely cut off, or leave it in whatever
state of readiness the landlord wants.
Electronic CP12s
We are very proud of our ability to provide electronic CP12 certification,
complete with electronic signatures of both engineer and tenant. This
allows the information to be immediately transmitted to our headquarters
so that we have complete and up-to-the-minute information about every
property that we are responsible for. This data can also be simultaneously
transmitted to our clients who, if they have the right interface,
can input the information directly into their own database. A brief
diagram is shown below, but for further details please click

On-line
real-time data
We operate a secure on-line database that gives us 24 hour up-to-the-minute
information on every job and every engineer. The database allows us
to control our engineers very effectively, so that none of them wastes
time, and so that our customers have the best possible service. Where
our customer is a landlord, information about their properties can
be made available in real time so that they know when a Robert Heath
engineer is due to carry out any work and will know instantly when
the work is finished.
Trained engineers
All our engineers are fully trained and hold CORGI gas safety certificates
- a "must have" to legally install gas appliances. We also
ensure that every engineer attends regular refresher courses so that
they are aware of advances in their field and know how to use them
to help you as well as ensuring that basic knowledge is not lost. |
