Robert Heath Heating partnered with Hinckley & Bosworth Council to transform Armada Court, a sheltered housing scheme, by replacing an aging, inefficient gas heating system with state-of-the-art Air Source Heat Pumps. This complex project delivered significant environmental benefits and enhanced resident comfort, all managed with a resident-centric approach.

The Challenge

  • An old, inefficient communal gas boiler system causing high costs, carbon emissions, and discomfort.

  • The need to transition to a modern, sustainable solution while residents remained in situ, some with complex needs.

The Solution

  • Installation of 60 Daikin multi-split air-to-air heat pump outdoor units serving 129 indoor fan coils, providing individual heating and cooling control.

  • Meticulous project management as Principal Contractor, including extensive resident engagement, on-site support, and tailored solutions for communal areas.

The Results

  • Projected annual carbon emission reduction of 43.4 tonnes of CO2e.

  • Significantly enhanced resident comfort and lower, individually controlled energy bills.
